Cassie Boland
Hello, I’m Cassie.
I’m a North Lakes family lawyer at Best Wilson Buckley.
I’ve been working in family law firms since 2011, firstly as a Paralegal and then as a family lawyer following my admission in 2014. Aside from a 12-month stint as a family lawyer in Rockhampton, I have worked exclusively in family law firms in north Brisbane.
Before I became a lawyer, I was fortunate enough to work as a Paralegal underneath an experienced Independent Children’s Lawyer. This foundation has ultimately shaped my approach to working with clients through their parenting matters in that I will always work towards an outcome that focuses on protecting the best interests of any children caught up in family disputes. For me, there is nothing more important to get right.
Why family law?
Family law provides me with an opportunity to interact and build relationships with people from a wide variety of backgrounds every day. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to work as a lawyer without being stuck behind a desk all day drowning in paperwork. Yes, my job allows me to be a lawyer, but I get to be a person too. By working in this industry, I’m able to build quality relationships with my clients and their family each and every day, and use my people skills to play a part in building a financially and emotionally secure future for those that I work with.
How do clients describe your approach?
My clients often comment on my promptness and professionalism, as well as my ability to provide clarity in what can often be a traumatic and stressful period in their lives. I find great satisfaction in resolving matters in a way that reduces emotional and financial stress for my clients and provides them with a clear vision of stability for their future.
I’m also acutely aware that the vast majority of my clients never went to law school. I use the knowledge and experience that I have built up over the past decade to decipher the law and how it relates to you and your unique set of circumstances, ensuring that I’m communicating your options in a way that is easy to understand and encourages you to reach an amicable agreement rather than fight a litigious legal battle.
