Fadzai Mamvura
Hello, I’m Fadzai.
I’m a North Lakes family lawyer at Best Wilson Buckley.
I have always worked in the legal industry, beginning my career in Harare, Zimbabwe, where I practised in commercial and civil litigation. After relocating to Australia and being admitted to practice, I worked in Perth in Tenancy Law and Wills & Estates before moving to Brisbane.
Since moving to Brisbane, I have practised in Family Law, Domestic Violence and Wills & Estates, however the majority of my work has focused on Family Law and Domestic Violence. I have also gained valuable insight into the intersection between Family Law, Domestic Violence and Migration Law through collaborative work with a migration lawyer in the Temporary Visa Holders Escaping Violence program.
Why I work in Family Law
I work in family law because of the lasting impact it has on individuals, children and future generations during times of significant change.
Family law is about more than resolving disputes—it is about helping people protect their relationships, secure their financial future and make informed decisions during difficult transitions. I am passionate about providing practical, strategic advice that supports long-term stability and helps clients move forward with confidence.
Having grown up in a multicultural community, I understand how cultural expectations and family responsibilities can shape people’s experiences of family law. This perspective strengthens my commitment to providing client-centred and culturally aware legal support.
My approach
Clients describe my approach as approachable, practical and results-focused.
I aim to create a supportive environment where clients feel comfortable and informed. My advice is tailored to each client’s circumstances, with a strong focus on what matters most to them; whether that is children, financial security or reaching resolution efficiently.
I balance empathy with practicality, helping clients make clear, informed decisions while keeping their long-term interests front of mind. Above all, I am responsive, transparent and focused on achieving meaningful outcomes.
What clients say
Clients often say they feel listened to, understood and supported throughout their matter. They value my ability to explain complex legal issues clearly and my calm, steady approach during emotionally challenging times.
The feedback I value most is when clients tell me they felt supported throughout the process and that they were able to move forward with greater confidence, clarity and peace of mind.
