Hi, I’m Lailah.

I am a Graduate Solicitor in our Toowoomba office. I hold a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. My journey in law began in 2020 in a multi-disciplinary firm where I discovered my passion for family law. I have since had the opportunity to work in various legal support roles and am now building a meaningful and fulfilling career as a family lawyer with BWB.

 

My Work in Family Law

As a family lawyer, I work closely with clients from all walks of life, supporting them across a wide range of matters including parenting arrangements, property settlements, and domestic violence issues. I also manage divorce matters. I represent my clients in direct negotiations, at mediations and, if the need arises, at court events, guiding them through what is often one of the most difficult chapters of their lives. I take pride in offering a calm, practical approach that recognises these matters are not just legal problems - they are people’s lives, finances, and families.

 

What is your favourite part of your job?

Working alongside the entire BWB team and helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of the legal system. Family law is such a unique field, as its emotional nature sets it apart from many other areas of practice. Being able to walk alongside clients during these moments, offering clarity and reassurance, makes the hard work truly worth it.
