Hello, I’m Lailah.

I’m a Paralegal in Best Wilson Buckley’s Toowoomba office.

I joined BWB at the beginning of 2021, having previously worked as a receptionist within a personal injury and family law firm in Toowoomba. This client-facing role has gifted me with exceptional communication skills, which help to ensure our clients feel supported throughout their journey with our firm. My role as a Paralegal allows me to work with a number of lawyers in our firm, and consequently a large number of clients. It is my job to ensure our clients feel informed and always know what their next steps are as they work with us.

Unlike a surprisingly large number of my colleagues, family law wasn’t always the plan. However, now that I’ve gained exposure to this area of the law, I haven’t looked back and could not think of anything else that I would want to do now. I’m looking forward to continuing my legal studies and becoming a specialist family lawyer at BWB.

Why family law?

Getting to work with and champion individuals through incredibly difficult times is an honour. It’s a cliché, but someone trusting you to walk alongside them and be in their corner during their most turbulent moments in life is incredibly rewarding and something I will never take lightly.
