Rachael Goodlet
Hi, I’m Rachael
I’m a Solicitor at Best Wilson Buckley Family Law.
Have you always worked in the legal industry?
I began working in law in 2021 whilst I was completing my law degree. I began my family law journey in 2023 as a paralegal with a boutique law firm on the Sunshine Coast and am grateful to continue my career in family law with Best Wilson Buckley.
What’s your favourite part of the job?
Being able to support clients in complex situations. Every family is unique and being able to find solutions that truly work for them and move forward with their lives whilst knowing that I have somewhat played a part in someone’s journey is fulfilling.
Why Family Law?
As a family lawyer, we see people at their most vulnerable and in a difficult period in their lives. Most often these situations are not a one size fits all approach, and it gives you the opportunity to think creatively, negotiate and guide people towards practical solutions.
Was family law always something you wanted to do?
Family Law wasn’t always the area I thought I would end up in but once I began working in family law, I knew it was the right path for me. I quickly realised how meaningful it was to see clients navigate through their situations and guide them through what can be an overwhelming and complex process.
Being able to combine problem-solving with compassion, and to help client’s move forward with their lives is what inspires me.
